omg almost a whole page of off topic posts?
this is unacceptable! get on topic or your gonna piss me off!
I'm Kinda lost Here, and I bet some of us are too.
To Extract the PUP we use PUPXtractor, then I get
Dots.txt
EULA.XML
Update_Files.rar
Updater.self
Version.txt
VSH.rar
Zeros.bin
Then in the Update_Files.rar I get a bunch of PKG files. How do I extract those PKG? Or are we only able to extract PUP files... I read a couple of pages, and did not find a tutorial in how to use this.
I Tried depkg but it crashes on me.
Am I doing something wrong?
Btw. I'm using Win7 64Bit.
For Windows users, you need to run the commandline interface Start>run>type cmd . Go to the directory where u place the depkg (for windows) and run depkg.exe inputfile.pkg outputfile.pkg (replace inputfile with the original package name eg coreos.pkg) After you manage to decrypt it using geohot depkg tool , you need to use the commandline interface again and run dissect coreos tool to extract the decrypted contents. If you just drag and drop, you wont get anything. At least for me on Winxp.
Uhh, yeh i know that. That wasn't my problem. And an easier way on Windows 7 is to hold down shift and right click in the desired dir, then select Open command window here.
Try the BDPT_FIRMWARE_PACKAGE files, they output a 0kb file for me. Also, dissect coreos also works for debug updates, which doesn't mean much without self decryption and encryption, but it's interesting.
Yea I get 0 bytes for Bdit_firmware_package as well
Yes, that's it![]()
