Can't Sony request the case to be moved to another state or Geohot's home state of New Jersey? I didn't read the entire first post but that's what came to my mind.

Pardon my ignorance, but what's the deal with California vs New Jersey?
Why did Sony prefer to sue him in California?

If this case is dismissed, can't they repreat the procedure in New Jersey?

Sony also alleges that, by engaging in such conduct, Mr. Hotz has breached the PSN TOS (which is actually not applicable to Mr. Hotz as demonstrated above).

How did he breach PSN TOS?

If this case is dismissed, can't they repreat the procedure in New Jersey?

i was beginning to wonder what was happening with the case, since it's been all quiet so far. Or maybe it's just my perception of time being too fast

#1. I'm sure Sony has many lawyers on retainer in CA. Therefore they don't have to go find NJ lawyers, and then pay them more money.

#2. Sony probably owns a few CA judges.
