Where is your contribution to the scene? People throw this up but the opinion boils down to "you have no say unless you contribute". So where is your thread with your download/piece of code/info on an exploit? There isn't one? Thought so. BTW before you ask I don't have one either so we are on equal ground.

Likewise, I don't see why he should release something, if he is not ready or doesn't want to. One thing I noticed from hte jailbreak scene is motherfcukers are never happy. Geo releases his firmware, even with backup support, Sony updates to 3.60 and then everyone starts hounding him again to do it all over again.

Why the fcuk should he bother? Do you pay his bills? Does he fcuk your sister?

He doesn't owe anyone on this forum shit. He does this for the challenge and the fun. Once he has proved he can do it, its no longer fun - its work, release or no release. The sooner people get that through their thick skulls the more humble you will become. Maybe if people are more humble and paticent he might be a bit more accommodating.

Yes he is a smart kid and know how to do stuff I will never understand but People seem to forget he was the main reason we lost the OS feature on our PS3. So him playing these games and saying he not sure what he is giving is a bunch of BS.

By him releasing it all he wont get in trouble as he is not promoting piracy. If sony had a leg to stand on they would be at his door already with legal papers. I have been around the warez scene for over 20+ years and I have never seen so much BS regarding hacking systems or games.

Some of you forget, we can run our backups since hmm 5 months without mod without cfw even without opening the console !
And with the new keys by geohot and good work by team "ff" we can even run the famous GT5!!!!!
So either buy one dongle for 5£ for backups or quit crying. Eventually someone will come with a solution free or $$$$$.

I appreciate the effort, but this is pretty much meaningless to me and to a lot of others at the moment, so it's definitely nothing noteworthy let alone a breakthrough, at least not yet.

In a funny way he is the god of the PS3 scene. All of the work that has been done on the PS3 is a cumulative effort that began with his hypervisor exploit last January. The USB exploit and fail0verflow's findings are thanks to him.

Explain that to people like me who didn't even have OtherOS to begin with (I have a Slim).

Speaking generally the proper signing tools are going to be released by fail0verflow soon, Marcan himself said so on their latest video, a proper demo of AsbestOS running natively, not like the not quite ready lightning talk at C3. So GeoHot's IF isn't going to mean anything. If he wants to win the race he can, but otherwise we don't have to wait long.

No the difference between you and some is you defend someone at all costs at the same level of fanboys for each console while hounding the hell out of everyone who doesn't share your exact same opinion. That's what the difference is. I noticed that even though my post had absolutely no vulgarities directed at anyone, you had to add them while quoting me. So while I may have called you ignorant which could be offensive, you took it from being offensive to straight up flaming. It's the truth of it all and you can't say it's not. Not all of here want games for free I just want something I paid for when I bought my PS3 the OtherOS and if it wasn't for geohot opening his mouth before he had a true hack for the PS3 we would \have never lost the OtherOS.
