EDIT: that was a quote from the other guy not mine. I was commenting on his ignorance. Please quote me in context instead of spinning my words. I know what happened with OtherOS I was bolding those words and then explaining how ignorant it was. Please make sure you look at the quote and then the words I bold as those were not my words. I wanted to make a point on one of his points.
If we win, this sets precedent and we will be able to do what we want with OUR console.
You know in all of your posts I sense a strong sense of resentment and jealousy as well as envy. I believe you are so against him because of the fact that he's a highly talented hacker and he damn well knows it which is why he has ego. Answer this question even though I know you will say no.
If you were gifted enough to win thousands of dollars in competitions(google his history.) hack a couple of devices and gain fame for it, wouldn't you have an ego? I know I would. I would be on top thinking i'm barny badass. It's human nature. Hell when I play games competitively and woop someones ass I trash talk ALOT. It's human nature to see our greatest achievements and brag about them. We all have an ego. It just takes something to trigger it. He's got a lot that triggers it.
Geohot has closed the first round of donations. Thanks to everyone who helped out!
The more I think about him purchasing more lawyers, I fail to see how the american justice truly operates. If a person is innocent, why does it matter, the amount of lawyers one gets. Does the amount of lawyers equate to the amount of evidence? I fail to see the correlation....If I'm guilty with blood on my hands, having a team of lawyers isn't going to change that..
Maybe someone with some insight can explain to me..
It's all about the bureaucracies and paper pushing involved. Sony can prolong the case beyond anyone's breaking point.
The thread closed for a reason, the write-up worked, and within a weekend "enough money" was raised for the cause.
And sadly that is the way "justice" works, you do need a "team of lawyers" even if you are innocent, I should know I fought personally a similar battle in Canada over "emulators" and it lasted 2 whole years, and ton of money spent lawyers, only to have them "dismiss" the case in the end.
Anyhow, back on topic, many thanks to everyone that did was needed, lets all work together and WIN ONE FOR THE SMALL GUY FOR A CHANGE!
