Fedora Core 5 Linux is already on PS3!

With FC5 now installable on PS3's their truly are no limits, they already have a few applications installed including Firefox and an NES emulator, who knows what's to come in the next few days

Be ready to be amazed!

the guy has a ps3 & xbox360 and is using them with a 20" crt tv through composite?! wtf...

I really wonder why ppl get amazed (or something) with stuff like that.

- $ony told us since start they will support Linux.
- A kernel with PS3 extensions was made public since JAP PS3 release.
- With kernel in your hands, you can run EVERY Linux distribution around the globe.

Where is the surprise?

The PS3 just came out a matter of days ago and considering the shortage of consoles, it's remarkable that something is already happening.

Some people don't care very much about graphical quality and there are people that can't afford to buy a $600 ps3 and a $1500+ tv so decide to get the cheaper one.

If a nextgen console is not bought to enjoy its superior audiovisual capabilities, then what's the point? Only to boot linux on it? That's like putting a new 1000 horsepower engine into a completely rusted car body. Just don't make sense to me.

But then again, this is off-topic so I'll end it here.
