Karma is indeed a big bitch,
LOL, I bet Geo's lawyers are on the phone to LG getting some pointers right now.
Fancy that though... moaning abbout people claiming they're depriving you of revenue when you're directly infringing copyright law to make SO much money that even the small fee per unit you should have paid to LG runs into hundreds of millions of pounds.
Shame really, if you were cool about all the people running their own code and even the minority of people running backed up games like you were with the original Play Station you might have had some support from some of the smartest people on the planet. Now.. well.. that's up to you isnt it Sony...
crook that steals off a crook...deserves to be off the hook!!! lol
lets find those warehouses that would be a hackers dream lmao
Well, looks like Sony may need to drop some lawsuits to cover their own a$$ this time, KARMA, also, I love PS3 and PSN, but Sony deserves this
but I still dont understand why all of you are calling for sonys head. If they fail, then your console is shit. It sounds like you all want a fancy looking dreamcast
lol when i read this "EU Customs Ordered To Seize PS3 Consoles"....i was like damm now they are going into everybody's homes to seize jb playstations?
fU]?? this f?ux? that lol is that alls you think about like wow seriousley grow up
you are acting like 10 year olds or are yous seriousley i understand i hate sony as much as yous do but please grow up
look at it this way if someone broke into your house you would call the cops. ps3 is sonys house
You're kidding arent you? This wont affect the console or development for it in any way, it just means sony will get less money per unit sold and have a back-fee of a couple hundred million quid for those already out there.
Its a big kick in the balls, but it wont kill anything. It just means the PS3 became an even more delecate investment for them that it was before with all the hacking going on.
The best way for them to handle this is to drop the crap they're trying to pull against the hackers and change the ban systems on the PSN. Block the copied games, allow the originals and no permabanned consoles. That way people will zip through large multitudes of games and fall onto those they think are fantastic. They'll buy them and game online and stuff and cause you can still play backups hackers wont so much care about making copied games work on PSN.
It'd take a real idiot to try to circumvent that protection because it would be stupendously easy for sony to change the PSN security plus they'd be rocking a very big boat and disturbing the new and lasting peace between hacker and proprieter.
Sony would be cool again, and in a few years people would have forgotten this little tantrum (for the most part) and support many new funky bits of harware sony want to add on to this console. 3D is around the corner, VR headsets are about 3 years away (i'm serious guys) and the new motion controllers need content and support.
For Sony this is an oppertunity, as well as a crisis. Good job the Japanese only have one word to describe both situations![]()
