I was being sarcastic when I said we need a new FTP server app.
hell this one here isn't even completely finished,
and we have to use the username & password when connecting to it.
that's CAPTAIN Obvious, son.

I think that any development is good and a way to move forward. It shows that devs are still fighting even when sony is trying to beat everyone down and scare them with lawsuits. It may seem to you like just another ftp but in reality it is just another step forward in this campaign we are leading.
Actually, this is a lateral movement. Had this said "FTP for 3.56" that would be a step forward.

Blackbox goes to a screen saver that actually makes the entire screen black, not just dim it. It's basic and simple. Why add additional bells and whistles?
Only thing I can really see that is somewhat useful (if it really is) is that you can put a user name and password on so no one can log in through an outside source...but then again, if you're connecting wireless, why isn't there a WEP or whatever encryption you use on your router?
Ok, so I'm going to be the ******* in this instance...but what the heck do you think you have to change for Blackbox?? You plug in your ethernet cable into your PS3 (unless you have it setup wireless), turn your PS3 on and you run the Blackbox program. Then you use whatever FTP program on your computer, put in that IP address that Blackbox shows, hit connect and you're done! I just find it hard to believe that it unexpectedly "stopped working one day".

I got to agree with this, I know there have been I think 4 FTP apps out now, I am not sure what the differences are but still use Blackbox it works for me (not knocking this one or the others I just don't need it) but I would like to be able to play Ridge Racer Type 4 again (Psx emulator, and that N64 joint)

This being the 4th FTP app to hit the homebrew scene or not...it is my favorite. Only reason being: it has the friggin dragon for BackTrack Linux as the screen-saver! For all of you devs out there rummaging through various distros...BackTrack seems to be the way to go, being as it comes with IDA PRO Free on the image!!! (amongst many other useful tools) Great for anyone that may want to pick up the pieces and carry on, if you smell what I'm sprayin'.
