Actually Luvgun is right. No manufacturer should be responsible for their consumers. Yet each and everyday some dumbass is suing some company for something that they did. Like all these idiots that have been told all their lives that cigerettes kill getting tons of cash from exploiting their own ignorance.

Things like mod chips are no different. They can be used for good, evil or awesome. I find them a bit risky so I've never used one. But things like the Independence Exploit and SMS, EMUs, HDL (for faster load times and imports), and uLE are totally awesome. Of course I still pirate some (only 112 games on my system are mine) but that isn't Mr. Browns, Xianaix, Dlanor, EP, Polo35, Kaylakaze's fault (just to name a very few). Just like EMUs are legal (and pretty tasty), they only allow you to play games and it is up to you to play the ones you own (although you may need to get the system bios to play which may or may not be legal).
