D2Groove released for your PS3!
D2Groove released for your PS3! –
Dream over at xboxhacker.org his released details on his wonderful DIY project in using what was originally an D2PROG and turning it into what he calls now D2Groove, for use of course in Jailbreak'ing your PS3 console!
For those not following our sister site WiiNewz, the D2PROG was a device used to re-program or update a very common Wii modchip.
The D2PROG device is still available in many online shops around the world, so now that it can be very easy converted into a D2Groove, thanks to hard-effort of testing and trying by Dream, it will give everyone still looking for a local source for USB development boards to use on their PS3, another great option, until these now get quickly all bought up!
Dream's Video of his D2Groove in Action:

would with work with a art2003 programmer?
It's great that this was ported, but this honestly looks like more trouble than it's worths.
People are buying PIC programmer to program a PIC and make the jailbreak when they could simply buy the programmer, update the firmware (PICkit 2 firmware) and use as jailbreak. The programmer must have button or jumper to bootloader mode.
I have a PICkit 2 clone and i'm using it to jailbreak my Ps3.
Hey guys D2Prog to D2Groov, the code can be changed that there is no need to install any resistors.
I hope someone tweak the code.
I know that it works with out the resistors... other pic codes will work also.
Why I installed two resistors, MP code did have RC0 led so it was easier to make the modifications.
I wonted leds to work and nice install.
So the minimum is that you make the programming cut and flash it with more suitable code. (16mhz)
Dream: send me a PM with the details and I'll compile one specifically for the D2Prog if you'd like. Just need details of the type of PIC, and what pin the LEDs are on. Better yet, if you have a schematic of the original design that'd be great
I don’t have the board here now.

2 D2progs are coming here next week.
Then i can make full board schematics.
But i remember how it is built.
D2Prog is regulated 5V to 3,3V but it is not important.
The board is working fine with 10k ohm pull up resistors.
But if you disable MCRL and RB7 then we don’t need 10k resistors?
I am poor coder so you know what to do.
Leds are reversed compare to your schematics.
Crystal is 16mhz.
