In Windows explorer go to c:\patch
copy CFW.PUP to a fat32 formatted USB Stick in a Folder X:\PS3\UPDATE
ren CFW.pup on the Stick to PS3UPDAT.PUP
here we go, start Update from USB on your PS3...
not too hard, is it?
1. Installed succesfully via recover mode (for those who cant do this, you need to create a folder structure PS3>UPDATE>PS3UPDAT.PUP
2. All game saves etc still there!!
3. loaded up the latest multiman fine
4. currently transfering a game to my ps3 to see if it loads.
WILL update you once the game has transferred over, its Saw 1 btw incase anyones wondering.
Looks like you can also boot games through XMB using the RAW Games Installer BUT I cannot fully test as my red dead redemption game seems to have a problem loading from xmb as it saus i need more space even though i have plenty lol but the game does load up until it reaches this so thats good nes. (This could also be done using gehots firmware also)
just a quick word of warning there has been reports of bricked ps3's when using this on slims, so just wait for more conformation before installing
