Custom Firmware 3.41 HERMES (payload v4 included)

So, payloadhv4.pkg doesn't work on 3.55. Isn't there any way to sign it, like the rest of the homebrew apps that have been popping around?

I've got kinda noobish question. Is that safe to upgrade directly from 3.15 FW or i have to install 3.41 OFW first? I've got CECHL04.

both works on 3.41 (popfs need to use pkg method)

i downloaded that pkg and installed it but still didnt work. I just went to install pacakge files and installed it like that and tried running it off my external and still freezes. using mulitman

Pretty soon there will be one or two standard CFW's and the payloads will all be handled by the backup manager. It's the only way to move forward for the highest amount of compatibility, with the least amount of frustration on the developers. ATM CFW's are brand new so all the scene developers are making their own version. While this is good because people can try new things. I believe the only way to move forward is for one unified CFW on each major firmware and the backup managers handle the payload. It not only improves compatibility, but it becomes less of a frustration for developers when they port stuff over. I guarantee this will come sooner or later. At the moment this is all new so we have to give it time.

Now I will stay on 3.55 CFW as I finally got it to work right. Which only took me grabbing FIX_PERMISSIONS_Waninkoko_Kmeaw_CFW_3.55.pkg from ps3-hacks.com But I'm glad hermes is back to business.

For anyone that is going for CFW especially 3.55 I would definitely grab that package and have it installed. It has fixed all my problems so far. The standard fixpermissions.pkg from the multiman thread won't run on 3.55 kmeaw. At least it won't run on mine. But that package I put above works perfectly.

what did fix permissions do? Im on Kmeaws CFW and never ran that and everything works fine.
