Crystal Chip v14 Update Coming!
Crystal Chip v14 Update Coming! –
From the official site...
We're near completion of our next software release. This release includes full support for the new v14 75xxx version PS2. As we've stated before, we will continue to support all revisions of our hardware as long as is possible. We're happy to say that all currently available revisions of Crystal Chips are compatible with v14. We realize that our customers, especially resellers, can be put in a bad position if a new console comes out which is incompatible with the chips they have. Thankfully we've designed our hardware well enough that it can withstand substantial changes to the console without losing compatability.
We expect to release this new software on Monday, 14 November. This release will be a beta version and follow it up with an official release once we get a chance to finalize some of the new features. This will allow us to get v14 support to our customers faster as well as giving other customers access to the cool new features we've added since our last update.

i want to see a usb/firewire port on the actual modchip so we can flash it... like the qoob pro modchip for gamecube does.
i just hope they fix the bugs from the previous version (green screen on dvds, anyone?) and not just add more and more buggy features the majority of us won't use anyway. i want to be able to use SMS AND the dvd features of the console without having to switch between version 9 and 14 of bm because dvd works fine on rel 9 and sms works on 14 (it woud work on rel 9 but i would have to toast another cd for it).
however, i hope it won't take too long till the new release comes out.
i'm pretty satisfied with the chip itself so far.
Here's hoping that the bugs (x-fix?, y-fix?) and incompatibilities (hdloader?) in BM16 will het fixed.
the bugs in the position fix i can't comment on but nobody told me that hdloader didnt work with BM!
