Crystal Chip Goes Online

Using the latest "hacked" third-party firmware with the Crystal Chip it is now possible to bypass DNAS and play backup games online! This has been confirmed by several members of the forum in this thread (Crystal chip defeats DNAS!!!!!).

Unlike the O2 mod, which requires you to insert an original DNAS enabled game in order to the extract the ID, it seems this l337 group of haxx0rz was somehow able to bypass the DNAS protection completely.

This does not work with the official firmware upgrade from the makers of Crystal Chip. Only the hacked version will allow you to play backups online.

You could already play backups online by manually patching the image. This simply makes it much easier since you don't even need to patch.

to make it clear, dnas was circumvented by crystal chip, the source hack for auth removal is similar to the old versions...
