Hum... it rather seems there are some bugs left in bman
I couldn't boot anything using bman... Otherwise the firmware just work fine.
Here's a cleaned-up version of FW 0.3, please try it out and let me know if it works, especially PS1 booting.
Unfortunately there are no sources released for the BootManager, at least none I could find. Have to patch the bm.elf file directly, that could take some time, especially without a Crystal PS2 to test the stuff.
Do you mean the BootManager don't even load homebrew? I'm innocent here, didn't even touch bm.elf.

BM is apparently N2E compressed.
@modrobert: nope, I was just trying to figure that out.
ikari: dude what did you do to your validator.s file. you removed a tonne of code.
Ho well, working fine for me now... had to fix a couple of things :P
It was me doing things wrong though.
Seems bm is using the firmware to validate. Well, I am using this validator.s file. I've attached it, for those who wonder. This one works with both "with" and 'without bm" boots.
Ok. Thanks for the info Pixel.
I based the source changes on ikari_01's first hack (diff) on the v0.0.2 version. My "quick and dirty" logic failed (not the first time). Here's the diff:
< bnez v0, _done
> b _done
< beqz v0, _noAuth
Ill give it a try in a couple of hours...
v 0.4 is out now, fixing a couple of hangup bugs, see the main page and crystals site for more info.
Replace validator.s file (edited by ikari) in v0.04 package.
PS1 (backup and original)
PS2 (backup and original)
DVD Movies (backup and original)
Boot Manager Looks Nice.
Dont like the Fact that I can not Manage saves yet (only allows you to Format)
Now, Is it possible to Add Macrovision Remove?
