How is buying a used game any different than a buying a used license if your not buying the game, but only 'licensing it', i wonder how they are going to enforce this one?
Thats not fair marketing if you ask me, next thing you know, you will only be able to use PSN to get a new PS3 game and they will eliminate discs altogether.
PS2 Consoles:
SCPH-30001 [V4] - unmodded (2)
SCPH-30001-R [V5] DMS4 Pro SE
SCPH-50001-N [V9] CC 2.0 SLE
SCPH-79001 [V16] Silver - unmodded

Its simply unfair for people spending their hard earned money to owe a product and not able to resell if the need arise !!!

This Would be Bull**** if they do this,
How many games do we buy/own that we have only played once or twice and will never play again,
i have played many games that look good but upon playing turned out trash, that means i have just wasted £40 on a game i may of played for one hour.
PS3 = 120gb Phat 3.60OFW

wish i never updated to play gt5 online.

The only good thing I see about this absolutely preposterous turn of events, is seeing companies like Gamestop/GAME go down in flames. I would love nothing more than to see festering shitholes like those go out of business and, from a purely financial point of view, I can see why publishers have a severe case of red-eye over it; GameStop and GAME, as well as other places, sell their preowned games at a ludicrous price range - often you end up paying just £5-10 less than you would for a brand new title.
Recently shopping for games in either of the aforementioned stores shows disturbing trends like;
Heavy Rain being sold, brand new, for £45 and the preowned copy being sold for £39.99. The bulk of that £45 sale of new software goes to the publisher, which is what they want, but the publisher will see NOTHING of that £39.99 GAME have just made from the preowned copy, which they bought from the customer for £15 at best. It's absolutely disgusting and should be a crime. Same thing with GameStop here in Norway; Demon's Souls for 499kr (around £50) new, yet they are selling the preowned copy for 450kr. Again; how is that legal?
See you in hell GAME.

Fair or not, if Microsoft or Sony thought they could get away with it they would have done it by now. The worse thing about that is you don't want to update, or you don't pay your online subscription & they can prevent you playing altogether.
Hopefully they'll figure out eventually that you don't want to upset your customers.

This could be an extremely slippery slope in the long term. If they decide that selling any used software is illegal there's really no limit to how far they could go with it. Today-autocad on ebay. Tomorrow-super mario bros for atari 2600 at a garage sale.
