Connecting to PSN on CFW 3.55 Kmeaw

As an FYI, if this does work, expect this to result in the first wave of actual console bans from Sony.

If you sign on and don't respond correctly to their remote code execution calls a few times, expect to be permanently banned.

Can't wait for all those beautiful tears when Sony shits on their console with PSN bans.

Not going to try till confirmed and as for Wutangrza once again as I will say this to anyone who says something like that cause its really annoying see that shit over and over again....if they are going to ban they would have done it on 3.41 so stop making assumptions you can't backup and have no proof about asside from the blackops ban and MW2 per ban. Like every other company sony wants money and as long as we continue to buy games off psn they won't ban cause they make money from us they are only doing this to make it look good in the press

But this is different than all those other times. They had ways to prevent illegitimate users from accessing PSN (simply by forcing a new firmware version that breaks homebrew). This trick doesn't have a "fix" other than to ban the console.

With the previous times it wasn't in Sony's best interest to ban the console (since they want the user to upgrade back to OFW and continue to spend money on the store), but with this, it might not be worth taking the time to try and fix this (would require a serious infrastructure change with the PSN itself I think) and instead would just be easier to ban the offending consoles.

That said, I guess it doesn't matter that much. If you're on 3.55 you're essentially "banned" anyway, so might as well give it one last hurrah

edit: I guess if they were feeling very generous they could keep kicking you from the PSN when you don't respond to the remote code calls correctly, but with their behavior lately, who knows

That has to be the biggest point yet....with this said Thanks for the offer but I'll stick to my additional PS3 cause when they finally have that rootchkr active they can do the banning and i feel like the more they update and we still able to do this the easier it is for them to find out who is actually doing it....wow never thought of it like that

theres an update confirming it works on the pshacks link even a video with todays date showing a 3.55 connecting to psn. not sure if its real but its definetly tempting.

I'd wait and see, not out of concern for being banned from PSN, but because of the things that could come from messing with the flash. No use trying to get PSN access when it risks the entire console...

I doubt a 3.56 CFW will come out, so I might as well enjoy whatever days of PSN I can. Especially now that KZ3 is around the corner.
