Confirmed: Dustinpl47 3.56 CFW Is FAKE

Since I getting tried of deleting these 3.56 CFW threads, merging them, closing them, and banning idoits claiming it is real, I decided to move this to the FRONT PAGE as a SOLID WARNING to all out there in the PS3 'scene' world!

Hopefully, you've reading this thread before any of the other one that have not been deleted yet or cached by Google, or on other lame PS3 fly-by-night scene sites relating to a certain '3.56 CFW' from a couple of lamers by the names of dustinpl47 and theratedgamerz.

Despite scores of level-headed valued PSX-Scene members attempts to WARN everyone against this nonsense, people are still posting it all over the internet - well, I guess proof is what's needed - and proof is what you're going to get.

This is from BobbyBlunt, a moderator over at PS3 Hax. He decided to be a good sport and volunteer as a 'tester' for the supposed 3.56 CFW - and what he found was very interesting.

As many of you may know there are these 2 guys posting all over twitter and nextgenupdate.com about a 3.56 cfw. Well I asked to be a tester and was chosen rather quickly. I was amongst the first three people to be sent the firmware via email. Well instead of running off and flashing like they expected I decided to compare OFW 3.56 and his CFW 3.56. The only difference between the two was the fact the version.text was changed. All files were identical to that of the 3.56 OFW. They claim to be doing a full scale release today. If you look this is what the xmb will say when the update is found.

Also they are now claiming I was not a tester but to prove otherwise here is a copy of the email recieved:

Here are some things to know:

if you do not know how to install an update on a ps3 via storage media, BACK OUT NOW.

YOU MUST BE ON 3.55 OR LOWER TO INSTALL THIS. I know. It blows. But that is the way it is.

Please do not leak this file or password to download.

You are ASKED to report any problems back to me and provide me your console's serial number located on the white stick beginning with "CECH"

The faster this is completed, the faster the release comes out.

WHILE WE HAVE NOT EXPERIENCED THIS, BRICKING IS A POSSIBILITY!!!

MANY HOMEBREW APPLICATIONS HAVE NOT BEEN SIGNED FOR 3.56, ALTHOUGH THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THAT THEY MIGHT INSTALL CORRECTLY.

PSN DOES WORK, BUT IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU DO NOT LOG IN TO PSN WITH THE CFW INSTALLED!

I have censored the link to this file and password to protect anyone else from unknowingly installing 3.56 OFW, and then being stuck with no way to downgrade.

This was not in anyway a 3.56 cfw. If you download it and install it then you will be welcomed back into the world of ofw. Many of us knew they were fakes, but I have confirmed it. I am still safely on 3.55 and you have been warned.

So, as a final message to all the uninformed who keep creating '3.56 CFW' without at least doing a little homework, here's the real deal:

** THERE IS NO 3.56 CFW AT PRESENT **
** NO ECDSA KEYS HAVE BEEN FOUND AT PRESENT **
** REMAIN ON 3.55, 3.41 OR 3.15 FOR TIME BEING **

Hope this puts an end to all this rubbish. Many thanks to BobbyBlunt @ PS3Hax for busting these jokers, and to Brubaker here for writing this up and submitting it, so hopefully by me moving this to the front page, it will cut down on the amount of silly v3.56 CFW threads appearing!

When I heard about it, I kinda thought it was suspicious that a no-namer was releasing a CFW so quick... and lo and behold, retweeted by Kakaroto was a message that it was fake (original message was from @Bez_gee)

Can everyone reading my twitter retweet this making sure everyone knows @dustinpl47 is a liar and a scammer. DONT TRUST HIM
