Cobra-USB: New PS3 Dongle Appears With New Features!
Cobra-USB: New PS3 Dongle Appears With New Features! –

Just Seven months after the first original PSJailbreak appeared on the market that rocked the PS3 world, and forever changed the 'scene'!
We have a new team called Cobra appearing with yet again a v3.41 USB Dongle, but with many new World's First features that have yet to appear for those running v3.55 CFW's on their Jailbroken PS3 consoles!
Cobra USB - The Ultimate PS3 USB solution!
• ** Blu Ray Movie region free functionality
• ** Allows you to play Blu Ray movie ISO’s from HDD
• ** Allows you to play DVD movie ISO’s from HDD
• ** Integrated support to play PS1 game ISO’s from HDD
• ** Integrated support to play PSP mini games from HDD
• ** Enjoy PS3 games with files >4GB on external USB HDD
** = World's first implementation
We have confirmed with the distributor that this is, indeed, a legitimate product and the features are 100% real. We do wonder how long before these features will be ported to the existing homebrew AVR dongles but, right now, it looks like the PS3 is about to get a much needed dose of venom!

wonder how many people are cursing themselves for pitching their dongles after 3.55 CFW came out, makes me glad I decided to hold back on 3.41 and keep my dongle

Really skeptical about this 'new' dongle.

This made me widdle my panties. I so badly DO WANT
I'm not too keen on the 3.41 requirement though, loathe as I am to give up 3.55 and the benefits of being able to update my games. Hopefully they fix that, or someone makes an open-source derivative. Of course I'd love to see PS2 backup support, as that means I could ditch my current - agonisingly clunky - SwapMagic + USB drive method..... but this device only mentions PS1 backups.
Still, fantastic news! Definitely worth buying if they can wrangle 3.55 support.

I've got 4 dongles that would surely be able to get me back on 3.41FW

"Our device has an advanced integrated Actel encryption engine to prevent device cloning. We also have several other hidden features which will prevent others from cloning our device"
hmmm, wonder how long this will take, i certainly am not spooging another £30 or more on a dongle, will wait patiently.

This is another great piece of dongle! It's a shame though that it won't work for 3.55..
Is it to do with the 3.55 update doing LV2 checks? (Something along those lines i believe.) Same type of problem when peek/poke, which ended up being a memory patch instead of writing to the actual lv2 like in 3.41?
Either way, more and more I am considering downgrading to 3.41 to take advantage of this..
Now the biggest question is, can you use two dongles? I would think you can't..?
