Cobra-USB 3.55 Compatability Soon

The Cobra USB Team have announced that they are currently working on a solution to enable Cobra USB on PS3 firmware 3.55.

We are pleased to announce that we are currently working on a solution to enable Cobra USB on PS3 firmware 3.55, with the release expected to take place a few weeks from now. This will bring all of Cobra USB's ground breaking features to the more up-to-date firmware, with the added bonus of removing the need to perform the power/eject cycle to enable the dongle - this will become totally automated. Support for 3.55 will be provided simply as a Cobra USB firmware update, meaning ALL Cobra USB dongles will be supported without the need for a new hardware revision. We will make further details available as the release draws near, keep an eye on this website for updates!

It would be AWESOME if someone ported this USB to cfw3.55, allowing all its features without needing to buy anything!

Well i dont really see the point in dongles after we got cfw, but these cobra guess are really putting a lot of effort into their product to increase sells

Well, it's hard to sell a pkg file.

So they have to keep selling the dongle, even for 3.55.

most wanted new feature of course will be support for 3.60+ games

If they would be really clever, they would rip the new keys, and create a Backup Manager who is able to start 3.60 Eboot's and resign them on the fly, so they run with their dongle...
With such a feature they would really sell their product.

Their just saying this as dongles are a bit out dated and hoping that saying their working on a 3.55 workaround as a sales pitch. No interest in this hyped up peace of crap

only plays ps2 iso's if you have a backward compatiable ps3 but they can already do this

I can see it as being vaporware.
