I first want to say thank you to everyone that has helped contribute to the cause; your work is greatly appreciated. I have been having pretty good success with jailbreaking and installing CFW - currently on geohot 3.55. I was able to install an SNES emulator package, but all the packages I tried to download for games give me an error (sorry, I don't know the actual code as I'm at work). The two games I've tried so far is AC brotherhood and CD black ops. Do you guys think it might be the placement of the game files? I can't seem to get past this part.
Alright, the error code I get is 80029564 when I try to install game packages. I've tried to make my own, and I have tried ones that people made for 3.55. I recently tried Little Big Planet and got the same error. I'm really stumped on this one.
im sorry for the noob question but i really hope its not avoided because it will help people out.
i have geohots cfw.
i installed the castlevania package
now when in filezilla im looking for usrdir?
cause the only usrdir is under what i just installed in the game folder.
so how do i copy everything but the eboot folder cause in that usrdir folder there is only an eboot.bin file.
You need to copy over the USRDIR from the backed up game that you have on your PC and place that where the game installed on your PS3.
ok so i can verify, all you do is basicly delete the eboot.bin file from the game folder?? then transfer the rest to /devhdd0/game/BLES01047/USRDIR//??
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this method obsolete now? In any case, for whatever reason you maybe doing this; you don't delete the "eboot.bin" file as the game will not work without it. From what I remember, you had to find a program (or Hex Editor to do it yourself) that would modify the Eboot so that it read from the HDD rather than the Blu-Ray Disk.
