i jailbroke successfully with ver .001 and .005 but for some reason when I plug my ti-84 back into my computer to try to update to ver .006 it does not recognize my calculator through usb at all. has anyone had any related problems like this?

the same thing happened when i updated to ver .005 but i had to replace my batteries and it randomly started working again. i wonder if it was just the batteries that caused this problem

If you installed the "hook" feature from ver .005 then you will have to uninstall the hook if you want to have it recognized in the PC again... If not it will just be recognized as a "USB Hub Device" and TI Connect won't be able to find it.

If this is not the case with you hopefully someone else comes up with a solution.

try this -
start the jailbreak app on your calc
then press the blue "2nd" button, then "mode" (they are right next to each other)
that should properly exit you out of the program.
after that, try and connect to your pc again

Anyone else feel this new .006 version deserves Front Page News? Ability to Jailbreak on multiple firmwares using TI-84's is pretty big news... IMHO

@PsP0327: haven't tried yet with a game that requires 3.40 but you could try to edit the SFO to lower the fw requirement for that specific game.

Or else wait for somebody to piece toghether a CFW that would work using JaicraB loader which will eventually eliminate the need of any other hack :P

Hello guys,
been following up on your progress and I must say thanks as I've now got both hermes payload and PSGroove 1.1 with bd enabled working thanks to you.
Was really not bothered to create an account before but I've come across a problem that I doubt you guys will discuss and therefore I created one to ask... lol
Everytime I run the hack witth my TI-84+ SE my rams gets cleared afterwards meaning that I have to transfer the payload appvars again to my calc everytime I want to run the exploit.

Is there anyway to avoid this? Like putting the payloads in the app itself or saving them outside the ram?
