c4pt: Re-Enable "Other OS" /// Work-In-Progress! –
IRC member c4pt over at PS3HAX network, has announced that he is making good fast progress in getting the "Other OS" enable again in our Jailbroken v3.41 PS3 consoles. So far he has gotten the "Other OS" installer to launch and complete! Next step is re-enabling the now hidden menu option for the "Other OS"!
In only 1 month of Jailbreaking PS3's, and we already have FTP, Emulators, USB Firmware!

Bloody hell, this is mind blowing...
I can't believe the speed at which were hurtling towards an established PS3 scene.

Looking for any PS3 firmware, see here:
wow.. he already made it to work.. except to make it reappear in the menu..
i like news like this.. i hate those "i'm gonna make a ____ port" news..
Surely all that's needed to re-enable the XMB option is to edit the PS3 registry.. and they're already working on that, aren't they? This is most awesome news. Features Sony have stolen from their customers are being put back in by homebrew coders. Love it!
This is gonna go better EVERY DAY!! I dont even had the CHANCE to see Linux on my PS3!
I want my ps3break to arrive sooooo badly!!!!
How can we make it re-appear in the menu permanently without level1 access to the PS3?
You can manually edit the file using the ps3ftp or the ps3filer to renable it in the menu but it wont have the ability to install a different os from there or format the drive.
which makes this kinda pointless then...? oh boy
