With Linux already being a slow system on the PS3 (haven't actually been able to try it out yet myself............just what I've found by doing a bit of research on it), I highly doubt a virtual box will do any good.
I will know more next week when I am able to take full control of the tools I need for the install.
My PS3 started life with 3.41 (at least that's what was on it when I bought it), so I was not given the opportunity to give the original OtherOS a shot. It may have been able to run at a decent speed.
Everything that I have found seems to show that AsbestOS (aka BootOS) with a distro makes for slow Linux.
I could be wrong though.
I just don't see XP running through Linux on a PS3.
I would much rather go to my grave not needing my gun, than go there wishing I had it.
