Beware Of Faulty Crystal Chips.
Beware Of Faulty Crystal Chips. –

If we were CC fanboys then why would we post this?
Looks like there is bad batch of crystal chips circulating around the scene. Apparently the actels used were bad, not using enough power to work properly.
If you are a CC owner you can view the entire thread here

Headaches for everyone, especially for those uninformed modders who thinks it's their soldering rather than the chip.

No. We were aware that some resellers were selling a small amount of preview chips to consumers during the introduction of the CC 1.0. These chips were distributed for the sole purpose of reviewing the chip and for wholesalers to re-distribute these to other resellers. These early models were not intended for consumer use. Those that were affected are very minimal number this were promptly issued an exchange by resellers. This new situation is entirely different and do not appear in newer chips.
I am free to take any questions or concerns you may have about the issue.

(BTW ofcourse Crystal chip's are the best mod now, no doubt.)

I agree with Dante that CC chips are the best. No warez assocation is a good thing always.
And besides that, the chip works perfect in my V12 with no Diode fix. I think I got a good V12, has been working for about 2 months now, and with modchip for nearly a month.
Mine does not give a me a RSOD when upgrading, not even with the latest hacked release 9 firmware. YAY
(Steel City Electronics rules, but they screwed the screws on my PStwo really hard and its like impossible to open it now if I want to see if its 0346.)

Get a screw driver that fits the screw exactly then try unscrewing it. If you use the wrong size and you're trying hard to unscrew you might wear out the screw head, you will need to drill the screw out if that happens.
