You're reading way too much into what he said. He was basically calling out the cheap clones because they were built for a specific payload. There was no future compatibility in mind on them. So basically they were put out because a single program then was one of the reasons so many rushed to get it. But he's not saying everyone is a pirate, just that if you bought one it's your fault because you rushed without researching. That and the makers of the clones basically created a ded. piracy device. Because that was THEIR reason for selling it.

Also anyone hating on Marcan needs to chill. He probably has to deal with so many asshats doing what he does that it doesn't help. You know who I'm talking about. *Hay, like I wanna code a program, how do I do it?*

The way I see it - there have been two MAJOR breakthrough's regarding the PS3's independance.

The first - thanks to PSGroove team (Mat and co.) for opening up the PS3 so nicely. (which just so happened to give us all "backup" games !!!)

Secondly - Just this - A real crack at a stable linux OS with FULL PS3 power. I.e. The worlds greatest Media Player !!!

For ALL the haters (hifi named a few) - shame on you - may your PS3 explode into flames and burn your house down ... hopefully with you in it !!!

Great to see a marcan is on the job Also guys just wondering if someone help me confirm the details of my PICKit 2 clone board, the description given by the guy I bought it from is:

"powerful 48MHz PIC 18F2550 mcu, on board 32Kb falsh + 1MB EPROM, for future extension/upgrade so you will never run out of flash space (compared to AT90USB162 only has 16Kb flash space and 16MHz)."

Is it right to assume that the "+1MB EPROM" takes care of this 64KB requirement :S or will I have to solder something?
