Guys, you are all overestimating piracy as an issue, It's limited to a minority that most likely wouldn't buy the game to begin with. Btw, there is a thing called stealth for 360 pirated games that allows you to play online with It, yet CoD still sold over 10 million copies. It's very easy to blame piracy when a game doesn't sell well, but the company is one to blame.
Yes it does.
The PS Vita is doing bad because of 2 reasons
1. Lack of games
2. The actual price of the unit
Why would I spend $300 on something that have only 3 games to play? The PSP died because of piracy and how easy it was to pirate it.
Small Children + Moderate Adults play nintendo more and will shell out their money on Mario vs Teenagers + Adults who spend their money on GTA.
Sony + Microsoft is the top leading gaming companies
But Nintendo is a Dynasty
Mario+Pokemon+Zelda (All games) Sold more copies than any Ps3/360 (old generation Sony + Microsoft games_ all put together. Piracy wont effect nintendo due to the fact of how many little kids parents buy them all of that shit. 9/10 times you will see a DS in a little kids hand than a psp. "Why do you think that the graphics were so simplified" To suit children not adults.
Sony/Microsoft is for teenagers and adults but Nintendo is for everyone piracy will never effect Nintendo which is why the Wii still sold more consoles than PS3/360 and it was the first/easiest console to crack out of the three
i agree the game developers especially programmers should get more money starting with direct share in profit margin instead of few 100$ increase in pay whereas those who run company go on becoming multi millionaire or billionaire even after they have recovered all investment within 1-2 years wheras real programmers has to work hard for many years even to get what they really need ?..a background musician said on an interview that 1 hit videogame gave him millions of dollars with no need to work rest of life..as for piracy or stealing is concerned its who own the game have right to decide themselves whether to share so its not piracy but illegal sharing and as for law the whole world has got different laws to respective country so we cant dictate on their sovereignity..so its better to encourage greedy bosses to give atleast 30-40% share of profit to its employees than expect poor people to buy their software if thet want to have it...u may or may not agree ...
Developers still develop for consoles that are easily pirated. See: every successful console ever.

But this comes back to if you're interested in the Vita games or not though.
