It seems legit
Hate to sound like a jerk but why would anyone use a ps3 controller on a ps4... it would obviously be missing alot of features... the same thing would apply to using a ps2 controller on a ps3.
Obviously for a PS4 game you wouldn't get far, if the game needs the touchpad.

think about the DVD / Blu-Ray remotes they sell. Obviously your not playing games with those.
A lot of features? You mean, move sensor and touch pad? Honestly, those new features feel like they're just there for the sake of Sony justifying to you why you need to buy a new controller. I doubt most games will make good use of them to begin with. The same thing happened with PS3 controller... heck, what was the last game you played that used the motion sensor? Killzone 2? CoD 3? They made pretty shitty use of It.

Not for the PS2 controller on A PS3 system, the only deference is no vibration. im not sure how did you come to that conclusion because at first i thought the PS3 joysticks are bad, until i got used to them but i still believe they are stupid toooo light. but thats just me.

not to say the PS3 controller is too expensive, just waiting for sony to calm down and start selling you the PS4 parts for like a million bucks each.
Just Sony being greedy with this move. They're going to let you rebuy PS1/2/3 games and play them on the PS4 but you have to buy more PS4 controllers for multiplayer instead of using your old ones.
O_o they're not supporting it? no thanks. i'll take my chance and see if DS3 will works. i even still buy DS2 and it can be used. the only thing you can't do, it seem, is to turn off the controller so that it not detected. also, you're not able to quit the game. lol...isn't that wat the powerbutton is for? O_o
why would sony make ps3 controllers compatible with ps4 when it can make more money forcing you to buy ps4 controllers.anyone who believes other wise is just being naïve.
I'm sure the Touchpad is there to help sell the Vita. And unlike the Sixaxis, I'm sure this will have at least as much support for getting 'round the new Dashboard UI. Really though. In the few old games that had it I have to say that the Sixaxis really was more like sucksasses. i.e. total rubbish.
