heyy pplz i need help asap i hope som1 can help but i went into recovery mode on my 3.55 cfw ps3 and i didnt have ofw 3.55 any more so i searched for it online and i put it on my flash drive and it did the 1st part where it went to 100% in recovery mode and then wen it restarted its saying to push the ps butten on my controller but the big part is the stupid update file was 3.72 ofw and i cant canecell it or get out of recovery now i unplug my ps3 and turn it off but wen i turn it back on it goes rite back to that screen to try and update it cuz i was on tru blues firmware and i wanted to update to cfw 4.21 can any1 tell me if there is a way to get outa recovery mode instead of updateing to that firmware

How the hell can you possibly confuse 3.55 with 3.72 ...

Always download from trusted sources, always check the MD5 hash, and most importantly READ.

It just blows me away stupid mistakes like that.

And no, you need a flasher to get out of this.

If we are stuck (not me) on 3.60OFW, is there any way to install Rogero's 4.21CFWv1.09d? I know he shouldn't have updated, but he has kids and they accidentally updated.

I don't think it's gonna work, but in a desperate attempt he can try.

But since this has to be done from recovery menu (therefor 3.55) this will probably not work.

Hopefully someone will come up with a fix for 3.60+ OFW.
There should be solutions popping up in the future, but it's impossible to know when.

Tell him to hang on tight and not update.

Successfully updated doing everything like the tutorial (4.21 -> 3.55 -> 4.21 v1.09).

DON'T RUSH IT GUYS, TAKE YOUR TIME.

Most of the bricks after this stage are usually because of negligence and rushing the steps.
