Good going bitsbubba! And great work everyone else!
It's Ok, change the rules as you go, it makes thing more interesting....LOL
I would if I could, but we are allready halfway through the contest. We will have to change the rules for the next month.

Awesome job guys, to whoever wins this competition, i would like to suggest that you donate a small sum of money to the Gitbrew team as they have been simply amazing from bringing us OTHEROS++ to a whole bunch of cool homebrew
ThatOtherDev in the lead with 11 total likes. I personally think that it should always be all likes combined for every project submitted. Why? Because a dev that is contributing more by submitting more should be the winner. What do the rest of you think? Fair supposition?
I think if we keep it at one, it will encourage more people to participate, and encourage developers to work harder on their projects.
If someone is thinking about releasing their ONE release that they have worked very hard on, and it is really something amazing... he might not stand the same kind of chance the guy who released a whole lot of apps. And that way, when devs release multiple updates... they do not just get to keep getting more and more likes. If the update was truely better than the first release, let the Likes show it.
I want to see the little guys come out, and try their hand at this contest, as well as the devs. I think that would only bring the scene closer, and make this a better place to be.
I think we can all agree on quality over quantity. And a fair shot. That way we see long shots coming in first sometimes, and other times we will see the crowd favorite win.
There is my buck-fifty
EDIT: The way I see it... if you see the contest, and you think to yourself, that you have an idea you want to release... and then you come and notice you have to not only compete against developers in another class than you, but you also have to factor in that they can win based on the fact they have released so many apps... some would stop right there, and ask themselves "why even bother?" We are trying to promote the exact opposite thing with this thread. We want to see the scene alive with LOTS OF DEVELOPERS, and LOTS OF RELEASES!
When you put it that way I agree with you tthousand.
Sorry for the confusion with this first monthly contest. We've got some really great submissions and for the September contest we will switch up the rules to make it the most "Likes" for one project. Just didn't want to switch it up and change the rules in the middle of the very first contest. And I'd like to thank everyone who has participated so far. Keep up the great work. The scene appreciates all your hard work.
