A lot of things they want done can be done with only realignment and stack emulation using old firmware modules. Specifically SCE otheros and software-PS2-emu. Gamecube needs to be done with it's own code though. It doesn't matter what is 'clean roomed' it'll all get deleted and met with lawsuits.

I just wanted to say, I've been a passive visitor so far but I've always enjoyed reading the updates here.

On-topic:
I just donated 5 dollars, it's not much but it's something. I hope this pushes research and development for homebrew just a little bit further. Keep up the good work adrianc!

It's being purchased privately, these devices are very hard to come by. The current goal is listed on the project site, but there have been down payments and reductions, so it is currently $1800. (The original goal was $10,000)

It could be open sourced and compiled using the legal PSL1GHT toolchain.

PS3news has had one for quite some time, but they never did anything with it.

They most likely turn around and sold it off.

You got to remember 99 weeks ago, is almost 2 years ago.

The PSJAILBREAK been only around for 1 year now.

Geohot/Fail0verflow and all these released decryption keys only about 8 months old

Hardware flashers that are stable and easy to use only couple of months old.

So it is time to re-visit this machine, and take a crack at it with all of TODAY's current knowledge.

Back 99 weeks ago, all we could do is open it up with screwdriver and stare into the maze of chips and say, WOW, NEAT.
