greenoli, yes it should eventually fix bricks from bad cfw loads etc... thing i like is if we can get dual fws then its one step closer to lv0 and stopping this cat n mouse game for good. from what i know, if that happens, the only way so ny can stop cfws is to do a hardware mod. thats very expensive and i dont see it coming anytime soon. not to mention how many MILLIONS of current ps3s are out there right now. i have an e model so the infectus would save my ass if needed it.

No, Geohot didn't break any laws. He wasn't even involved in a criminal case, strictly a civil case. That being said, in some cases a civil lawsuit is 100 times worse than what a basic criminal case would of been.

I am not exactly sure what it is you are asking. But the developer decided to release this to a website like PSX-SCENE or PSGroove because he did not want the release the information himself. Publicity, and remaining anonymous for now. Plus, what a good place to release the info.
