.... I would love to play some US and EU games maybe even some JP ones !

You can already do that for games, not movies for some reason.

I have an 60gb console from asia.. i cant play PAL games on it.. is there a way to play PAL PS2 games??

I want to know if I can play PAL region games now ... It wont let me now ... Everytime I put one in it says ... THIS GAME IS NOT FOR YOUR REGION ....

All PS3 game discs are region free (unless we're talking DLC).
Most movies blu ray and normal DVD are region locked.
PS2/1 games are also region locked.

This mod allows you to change the region of your blu ray DVD drive to play whichever region blu ray movie you like. It has no effect on normal non-blu ray DVDs or PS1/2 games. Ps3 game discs are already region free so there is no need for a region patcher in that case.

Ps3 disks arent region free unless you are using a HDMI cable. *******
