To me this seems more like a rant than anything worth noting. If they now know what TB did, well then, I guess there is no reason they can't make it work for the rest who don't want to buy the dongle. But even if they do, TB did it first, in order for the rest to figure out what they had to do to get the job done. So give credit where credit is due.
I am not trying to look like a TB fan, I do use TB, but because I want to play new games--and got tired of the "waiting game". I do support progress, and I like to encourage it whenever possible, but lately the amounts of rants and the moaning about TB this and TB that, is getting a bit too uncomfortable around here to stay motivated.
I hope my words are taken as a light challenge to those that can hack. I now challenge them to see if they can make this work. Now that this Team (Ac1d) (supposedly) disclosed this "unknown to us" information.
I am hoping it doesn't instead lure a bigger avalanche of more irritated comments and undeserved chaos to this target. If it does, it won't surprise me. Yeah, like we need another TB rant thread--because a few dozen isn't enough! lol
Tick...Tock...Boom!

Don't worry, if it is released everyone will be happy playing their 3.6+ games rather than sitting here on psx-scene since they got what they wanted without paying for a dongle.
I don't see anything wrong or anything close to a "scam" with the TrueBlue dongle. Even if Ac1d's speculation on how the Dongle works is indeed true it still took research to discover how to utilize said "drivers" and Ac1d also stated some of the drives need to be modified to run games correctly. If correct then TB aren't just copying drivers which in the first place needed to be identified. It also took time and effort to create the packages needed to run these games. So you have the TB team who are the only ones that have accomplished this and they want to charge money for their work as the product does something Ac1d does not allow - the use of 3.6+ firmware required games on lower firmwares. There no is no scam only cheap little crybabies who want everything for free or are just too stupid to realize what is going on and jump on the "anti-dongle" bandwagon.
Don't get me wrong; I will never purchase a TB dongle or any dongle, but what about the rest of these people who purchased dongle's when the PS3 was originally hacked. Was it alright then to buy one and now it is not? Hypocrites, backstabbers, liars, cheaters aka your typical bunch of pirates. Well guess what, TB is doing something your complaining bastards can't do and you want it for free. So sad. Ac1d's cfwprophet has produced nothing, but post after post after post about how he hates dongle's. Why not produce a solution? Until then you don't deserve any respect and the only people that are supporting you don't either. Anyone can theorize on how the TB works and anyone can bitch about it, but no one has come up with a solution. I guess you don't have time to code with all of that going on.
True Blue is not a scam. It does exactly what they said it does. Nobody is forced to purchase the dongle. I bought one and I absolutely love the thing. Heaven forbid that I had to pay money to play 75+ more PS3 games. It seems everyone wants everything for free these days. I have no problem spending a little money. Let me do the math here. $75 for my True Blue dongle = 75x$50 (average per PS3 game) = $3,750. Ya, I can live with that.
actually i have no problem 2 buy a dongle which will add new feature 4 my PS3 same like i did year & half ago b4 clones appeared not even mentioning CFW, but as i said in other thread i refuse 2 end up with 3, 4 or more dongles collecting dust in case another solution comes out, so i wish luck 2 em & am rdy 2 test their eboots![]()
Just a note to the above comments and the many that will follow. I feel the word scam is a bit harsh, the article is quoting the scource. Scamming would be selling something that did not function as advertised. I don't own a TB and don't plan to for a very long time. I have faith in the scene.![]()
"non of the code used comes from the true blue creators. All files used come directly from higher PS3 firmwares."
If i'm not mistaken, doesn't this mean TB is using copyrighted Sony code?
@Am4d Very good point. Once the method is released and I say once, I wonder if they could get into trouble. Although Sony does not attack the pirates but rather those who open the system up to enable piracy.
Come one guy's, And now another team is trying to take down a known team.
Saying The TB dongle is the biggest scam in the whole ps3 scene ever,
rofl and who the F*** ate team ac1d.
Face it, TB team managed to do something no one else did. Thats a fact, whether u like or not. Yes i do own a TB, im not trying to justifi what TB dongle does is right, but calling it a scam, rofl, only proves team ac1d are somehow jealous they managed to profit of it.
They managed to get 3.60 games working, and thats a fact, period!!!
As i have said before, and i will say again, this is another perfect example of someone or a team reaching for the 15 minutes of lets say 15 seconds of fame!!!
lets se how long it will take before this shitty news will fade away, just like the rest pathetic news that pop up on every single ps3 website
