How hard would it be create a movie metadata plugin, that would read your personal movie collection (USB drive) and provide you picture and direct link to trailer from imdb... that would also be cool

Don't understand exactly what this plug-in does. Messed around with it for 20+ minutes and every movie & tv show I clicked on was a dead or broken link.

Its amazing, im watching kung fu panda on it now using the episode 7 option, this program goes from strength to strength but all it needs is a way of creating a playlist and it would be perfect

The direct download option would be nice. But at the moment showtime doesn't have support for this, at least not that I know.

You can get the latest versions of the plugins from the showtime repository, this video explains how u can get them.

I dont have a media library, as u can seen I'm a big fan of streamming. Never thought of using it that way.
For security reasons the plugin API doesn't have access to the local file system, no luck there at the moment.

MegaViewer basically gives the user access to links provided for the supported websites (listed above). That allows users to stream the files directly without the need to download or use other alternative as usb drives samba share, whatever.
The problem you described is becoming quite common, but if the links are dead theres nothing MegaViewer can do. I suggest try using icefilms or oneddl.

The playlist idea is pretty good, i have a vague notion that andoma was working on adding a playlist feature I will look in to it.

Does this plugin still work? I can't get anything to work. It usually says unable to probe video. icefilms, onedll.. None of them work. Is there something I need to set up first??? I have version of 0.26 installed
