Thanks for the update! Andreas, you are one of my most favorite PS3 devs!

I got one question about the DVD ISO. Most DVDs are larger than 4GB+, how could we make these ISOs work on external HDDs?

Buy a Router with USB and Connect a NTFS HD on it. Than stream over SMB. works fine

I couln´t make VIDEO_TS folder work from on external. Have the same error message from older versions

Hi,

This is the easy way to copy more than 4GB + files into your PS3 internal HDD..

use "PS3 Splitter".. you can download it using Google search.... and then keep your iso file within one folder.......... after that split your DVD iso contained folder using ps3 splitter... the files will contain number extensions.... copy the folder contains all files.. copy it to FAT USD thumb drive.,.. plug that USB drive into Ps3 and use Multiman file manager... copy it to PS3 HD ...> DVDISO folder..

Now see it... the files automatically joins.. now you will have 4GB+ file on your PS3

just use mkvmerge to mux it to mkv container and mp4's play fine only takes seconds depending on hdd speeds

Unless I'm missing something, I can't get the PS3's internal DVD/Blu-ray drive to come up in the list. I have some PAL dvds I want to play (on my NTSC PS3), and just want to play them from the DVD drive. I was hoping this now would be possible. And I have a few MKVs burned to DVD that I'd like to access from the internal drive. Is this possible?
