plz someone answer me, is this cfw have a DEX mode ??? and if it's not is there any 4.30 cfw with DEX mode ??
does anyone know who to jailbreak from 4.31 to the jailbreak 4.31?
GTA, you can't use 4.30 DEX on a regular PS3 without bricking It, thus no 4.30 REX CFW, only 4.21 done by Rebug. Seriously, why do people care If the CFW is 4.21 or 4.30? There is no reason for you guys to give a damn about a number, I'm using 3.55.3 and everything is running perfect, with the difference that I can actually fix RSOD without using flasher.
doctorwho, you can't. Get a flasher, downgrade to 3.55, update to CFW.
This is different with cfw 4.30 v2.3 ?
I haven't been keeping track, but some of these firmwares require "rehashing" or some other sort of procedure (before/after?) you revert back to OFW 3.55 (if that is even required - lots of guides say to go back to OFW 3.55 then upgrade to new CFW) or can be directly upgraded from a previous CFW without any mess. As you can see it's not as clean cut as you claim. I'm not that interested for myself really, but the bricking going on by users of CFW who are flashing new CFW and for whatever reasons do not know of of have access to resources like psx-scene.com for guidance. Keep in mind not every CFW user actually knows that much about any of these things.

Only one I know of that doesn't require rehashing is the latest Rogero and Rebug. Rebug never required this but all versions of Rogero before the last update did require dehashing just as every other CFW out there requires dehashing before installaiton. I am sticking with Rebug 4.21 till there is a need to switch which I do not see. And BTW we will never see a DEX CFW over 4.21, even then your choices are Rebug the prefered but a little harder but you can switch form CEX2DEX easily after being done once. Or use PS3Ita 4.21 DEX CFW but you are stuck with DEX all the time.
This emphasizes my question regarding a resource for CFW users. A lot of them might of gotten their firmware from places that didn't include instructions or even links to the original authors site. It would be a valuable resource given outlets for the CFW linked to it. However, due the fact I do not own any type of hardware flashing device nor have CFW I cannot create such a resource. I just feel sorry for those who grab a CFW from some obscure link or torrent and then install and brick their consoles.

Actually brakk3n there is no such thing like CFW 4.21/4.30/4.31 because if there where they wil be no need going back to 3.55 OFW for flashing. all what the 4.21/4.30/4.31CFW are just names given to the PUP file 3.55. and latest keys to play backup having OFW above 3.55. and while downgrade if it for a specific version of OFW
