Sony has NO right to remove a feature that millions of people PAYED for when they purchased a fat PS3. Then Sony claims that it was a "optional" update. even though it limited the use of the PS3 for linux users even more.

How exactly will checking hdd work in a class action. Class actions encompass everyone who bought a ps3 fat (unless they opt out) so they want to check those I'm guessing tens out thousands hdd?

What a clown show. I'm pretty sure the judge saw right through the red herring SCEA's lawyers threw at him. Perhaps their defense attournies should meet up with their prosecuting attournies so they can compare stories. I have linux on my computer...is HP going to ask me for my HDD?

Um, technically thier FW update 3.21 said that it was only removing OtherOS, nothing else. If you wish to continue with newer games and blueray playback along with PSN, update, otherwise these features may stop. Well the thing is they DID NOT SAY THIS IN ANY FIRMWARE THEREAFTER. which leads a user to believe IF YOU SKIP 3.21 AND GO TO NEWER (aka 3.30,3.45,3.55...3.60..etc) IT DOES NOT SAY IT WILL BE REMOVED. it does say that any and all features may quit during an update. including psn,blueray, and gaming...etc. Yes, this means Offline and online ...if you dont update, you cannot play newer games. To get around the non-connectivity issue for updates, they are included on game discs, which require you to update in order to play. Well these update discs do not specify that feature will be removed. Nor does Sony have any firmware listings on boxes or website.(yes i asked in the email form, from www.playstation.com's website.) so unless you update directly with 3.21, you have no clue its going to be removed and you cannot access OTHEROS.
