I haven't updated since first version of 4.30 where I did not need to downgrade, is it still possible to update without downgrading? I put the renamed pup file in PS3/UPDATE folder yet I get nothing when I tried to update via XMB...

I'm pretty sure the usb drive has to be formatted to fat32. I had the same problem before and I think that was the reason...

In order to instal the same System Version again, you have to install via the recovery menu. You can't use the XMB to install 4.30 when the system already has 4.30 installed.

So, is Rogero going to start competing with deank as to who can come out with updates the fastest?

I will remain a little hesitant with Rogero's updates (as I sometimes am with deank's) until they really prove themselves.

To both of these guys, I SERIOUSLY appreciate the hard work and effort you put into this.

The CFW can be installed fine from XMB Update over any OFW3.55/CFW3.55/CFW4.21/CFW4.30.

i was on rogero 4.30 v2.03 and has opdated from xmb whit no problem...

I have a small question for anyone who can answer it.

Will all my 3.55 patched games/PSN games still work once i am on 4.30CFW?

well yes it will work as long the ps3 games are lower than 4.30cfw but if ur psn games are patching 3.55 u ll need to patched them on 4.30cfw, but the emulators and others 3.55 will not work u need update them on 4.30cfw as usual but otherwise ur good to go dude

I installed 4.30 v2.05 over v2.03 from the XMB.
