thx, finally got the pkg's in working order only drawback here is it requires settings: REBUG/RETAIL in the toolbox, that was my problem, user error...

settings: Normal/Debug or Rebug/debug doesn't show the "changed" categories installed PKG's, only when REBUG/RETAIL is set, i tought it was possible to have it fully working on REX, only not the DEX side?

anyways this MOD 1.08.06 runs smooth(as all others i guess)
my excuses for the "not working" post then again it takes some time to get used to it

whop and fail again, i had showtime as AM(multimedia 1.5 rebugMOD), installed this clean 01.08.06 MOD(no other mods in place!) all worked fine, changed Toolbox settings to REBUG/RETAIL and all changed PKG's are there below "tool/homebrew" because the new MOD seems to have changed "categories" in this one, it placed Showtime(AM) into game colom/PS3 mount>showtime(AM in this mod) and Multimedia = BV in this 01.08.06MOD correct?!

changed the PARAM.SFO to BV, run Showtime again and it got updated to the "Multimedia" colom, then i posted here my result, after the post switched back to PS3 to play arround and noticed after the "Showtime" refresh it removed COMPLETLY the GAME colom
then removed the MOD using the backup and all back to original+game colom but then colom "TV/Video services" is also removed from XMB wich is there on 4.xx correct, atleast on 4.21.1 and i'm sure it was there on 4.21.2 to, be back with more resluts and a video cuse this is driving me nuts

It can do everything that 4.30 can do and alot more. Since it is a conversion of DEX and CEX..

Right now 4.21 DEX is the highest installable DEX firmware on Retail unit so that's why you dont see the DEX options for 4.30.

but my mod should work on 4.30.1 too. you can test it, i don't do that...

...then you only must mod the icons/gameboot, otherwise it shows 4.21.2 in the 4.30.1 fw

please do not use this mod on 4.31 as it will give you rsod or freeze up, if using lower sdk rcos and sprx files.

I agree with the Retail/Debug=REBUG, but I thought REX came from REBUG→₧(c)/(d)╞EX=x/EX where x=R (thats right, I went there).
Quite simply put REBUG combined with CEX/DEX. Finally a use for math, hazzah!

My BS aside does any one know where I can find a video of this new mod? And after reading a previous post, does it have to be in Retail mode at all times for the mod to be enabled, or was the problem that part of another mod was installed causing that to not work.
