You can look at it this way:
If you don't like it, don't use it. If you think you can do it better, do it better.
The problem here is that almost every release/news item that doens't involve a 3.60+ CFW release get's thrown off these days sometimes ending in a flamewar. I understand it is restriction of freedom of speech, but hey, all devs should be supported, you never know what he/she can create. But if you stomp them down time and time again, they will eventually loose faith in themselves and the community, meaning another potentially valuable brain to crack the holy grail for yall (3.60keys) might be lost to immature behavior.

P.S: true, sometimes an app can be useless, ok, but if the coding works... baby steps... I don't think you will be banned for a "hmm, what is the practical use of this exactly?" compared to a "dude, this s#!t is useless, why do you bother releasing, give me 3.60 keys!"

You still have free speech just put your posts on your own site. Complaining about the type of posts you can't put here is like saying someone should be able to walk by a painter painting a picture and they should be able to draw something on it. Consider this site someones painting. You need your own personal canvas you can't paint on another person canvas w/ out that persons permission. You can put graffiti on your house but not your neighbors. Do you understand now? Your freedom of speech is in no way blocked. I THINK THIS IS GREAT!!! KEEP THE UNPRODUCTIVE BS OUT OF HERE!!!

@CS67700 - it is actually encouraging people to criticize what they deem "useless". But instead of just saying its "useless" and telling the dev that they are an idiot give them a reason as to 'why' its useless and how you would improve the idea. That way the dev has something to strive for or implement in a future release. or it may trigger another idea from another person.

The oppression of developers must end. If there is any repression going on in the scene, it is the insulting of developers, which cause them to not release there information/work.

The point is, if you are just criticizing, instead of offering help, then you are most likely trolling anyways, and that is not accepted. If you have nothing to say (no original idea, nothing pertaining to the topic), we will delete your post.

This is not about freedom of speech, it is about maintaining integrity to help build a better scene. It is also about protecting the developers, because without them there would be no scene.

Like you said, we are still free to express ourselves, but when the line is crossed and feelings are hurt, it is the job of the moderators to step in and take care of the situation. And WE WILL.

Thanks for your post, as it has given the community opportunity to touch deeper on the subject at hand. This is what we are talking about, constructive forms of criticism instead of ranting and raving.

Freedom of speach wasn't made to allow people to be a dick against people who want to share. It was made to allow people to express their religion openly without being oppressed or discriminated.. I think you are a little confused.
