That was the part dat confused I in the beginning. One must change the IP of the pc for the ps3.
Like if your PC IP address ends with 103 use something like 102(For ps3 ip). Then put all the other settings in.
Network settings must be right for it to work, on now .

For the people still having trouble here's what I have mine set as

On PS3
IP ADDRESS 192.168.1.130
SUBNET MASK 255.255.255.0
DEFAULT ROUTER 192.168.1.1
PRIMARY DNS 192.168.1.120
SECONDARY DNS 192.168.1.120

On PC
IP ADDRESS 192.168.1.120
SUBNET MASK 255.255.255.0
DEFAULT ROUTER 192.168.1.1
PRIMARY DNS (WITHELD - TRACKABLE - USE IPCONFIG /ALL TO FIND OUT WHAT YOURS IS)

damn, it's not working anymore, i could play yesterday, now it goes all the time "you need to log to psn to play online" but when i try to, it goes fail 80710723

yo is there any list of non/working games or modified updates cause dunno why but after i sign in NHL12 with my 3.55 DEX it starts laggin when connecting and then it freezes

I think secondary dns is supposed to be 192.168.1.1

yes the internet works well but when I hit "use existing account" , a message comes up saying "the connection to servers timed out" or "error 8071053D"...they r the same BTW.
it's f***ing stubborn problem , I don't know how to fix it...anyone to help me pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease.

I disabled the firewall and closed all the applications but nothing works though the internet works well on ps3.

That error code is just telling you the Playstation network is down. You can even check it by doing an Internet connection on your PS3. If it fails on Playstation Network, this will confirm it.
