Overreacting? You must be kidding.

uh... BFBC2 had no online pass, just the VIP, I borrowed it from a kid I used to work with, and just had to pop it in, if I wanted the VIP pass, it woulda been $15, but from what I've read, the passes are ONE-TIME USE meaning once it's used, you can't re-use it. It may not be 'as bad' but it's still a slap in the face, why should I have to pay money for something that they got their money from (in the case of used games, sometimes if it's cheap, I'll buy it used, if it sucks no loss, or i'll rent it to try)? as one user brought up.. if I buy it used, shell out $10 for online and say.. a month later they shut down the servers, I should get a refund from that, or if you have multiple PS3's, or multiple children, you have to spend multiple ammounts.

the fact people don't care just makes it a point to companies, they can do this shit and get away with it, and soon enough, you'll be paying $69.99 for a license to use the game, and they can remove your ability to use it after say.. 2-3 years, because they 'need money to support the developers' If online and this nonsense was around when the atari was out, and they tried pulling this shit, people would have been in an uproar... now the smart ones cry out about this candy-assery, and are drowned out by the complacent sheeple who go 'it's not that big a deal' or 'you hassa buy new to support the devs' and 'it's just $10, thats one less big mac for you hurr'
In the next 50 years, we'll be seeing gaming go completly to shit because retarded children line up yearly for the same game with minor changes, and shell out $60 for it, and only care about how pretty it looks and not the substance behind it, and in another 60 when I'm on my death bed.. I will wheep for the gaming industry, remembering when this micro-transaction, and locking disc content away wasn't around, when an expansion, was truly an expansion that added onto the game, because the developers had a great idea, but rather than making a cheap sequel to nickle and dime us, made an affordable disc based installation so we could get more enjoyment from our games.
R.I.P Gaming... you were great until you were turned into a whore for the greedy and braindead. I just hope people will smarten up.. and hopefully be able to save you.
Other than special editions, I've never seen any game (including black ops) priced at $70 at any time. I'm not saying you haven't seen it, but I haven't. I usually order from Amazon though. I wouldn't be surprised if Gamestop jacks things up.

Canada gets a royal shafting in terms of gaming for some strange reason.
I'm so sick of gamestop, I stop going to buy from them, when I bought WKC, they wanted it used for $55, I saw it at bestbuy new for $30, used for $25, I don't sell anything to them any more, I'll sell it on Kijiji, or a similar service because I'll get at least 1000* more for it. When I went to trade in RE:Make for the Gamecube, they were going to give me $1 for it cause it was on the Wii now.. I threw it up on Kijiji, and sold it for $30 within a matter of minutes. Though you don't make a company on treating the customers fair
The main reason as to why people are "raging" over organizations charging people a few pounds/dollars/euros/yen/yuan/<insert currency here> for irrelevant features or features that shouldn't be paid for in the first place is because they obviously see that as a blatant rip-off and they're trying to literally scupper something which is actually harmless/beneficial to the society as a whole

F*** them and their retarded biatches!
How very cute it is to read about the FREEDOM or RIGHTS from someone who starts calling people names for no other reason, than having a different opinion. I was lurking this site for quite a long period of time, and it seems to me, mate, like you are having some very serious personal problems (were you bullied at school? or maybe it's the girls you like, who keep saying they don't want to spend the rest of their lives with some boring geek?), which you are trying to solve by firing out your inner frustration and aggression at people here, hiding behind the internet anonymity. I seriously suggest you should visit some kind of psychologist and try discuss your problems with him. And the sooner - the better. The amounts of anger and irritation in your posts here were going up to the critical values with the speed of light lately.
Just hope you will be well and someday will be able to talk to people normally again.
Dont comlain, new games are $120 bucks in Australia. I went to America and saw $60 new release games and almost died, bought a dozen.

Don't Feed the Trolls.
They should have a one day demo pas so I can try the game online and see if I like it. Video game rentals are useless now to try and buy the game before you buy.I stopped buying Sony games since I got my Xbox 360. I will only buy a game if it exclusive to sony and I want to play online.Sony is getting greedy as shit. They need to make up money for all the time PSN was down and all the money they paid to protect customers for one year. They still have nothing for people in Canada.FU Sony last gaming system I will buy from you.Note from the guy from Australia haven't you heard of ebay to buy games for a lot less or online stores.
i think that companies like gamefly ,gamestop and other companies should get together and sue sony for unfair trade practices ,this move could seriously hurt those businesses ,places like gamestop will be forced to lower the price of used games significantly to compete,i think this is part of new trend, a push to try and do damage to , or wipe out completely the entire used game business ,just like the new RE game for 3ds,i hear that capcom has made it so there is only 1 save file ,and it is not rewritable,so once you save the game and play it once ,thats it ,you can not play it again, first of all the idea of 1 sav file is bad enough , most games have 3, and the idea of nonrewriteable save files sucks even worse , even one of those things on their own is extreme ,and would cause me to not want to buy a game or to outright boycott the company, you watch, this is just the begining ,these 2 extreme moves will be the 1st step in their agenda to wipe out the used game industry and the rental market,if i were gamestop or gamefly, i would be screaming conspiracy, and collusion, the industry has clearly made a descision that this the direction that they want to try and push for things to go,they want to claim that "used game sales hurt the industry more than piracy" which may be the case but it is a ridiculos statement anyways cause you cant stop people from reselling their possessions ,just like honda cant stop you from selling your car to someone else after you buy it,this is unfair trade practices, and piracy is so small that is clearly not costing any significant amount of money to the industry, less than 1% of wii's are hacked to allow piracy, and that is the most hacked console ever,ps3 piracy doesnt even account for 1/8 of a % of ps3 users, and used game sales should not even be factored in , it is just part of the cost of doing business, any business just about ,these people are just so greedy, there industry has already surpassed the movie industry in terms of profits, but that is not good enough, hey maybe next they will make blu ray discs and game discs"marry" the first player/console they are placed in.and what if you want to bring a game to a friends house to play it online?then you will have to bring your whole console with you too
what we need to do is have one ps3 that can get online and unlock all the diital content like demos and dlc and then find a way to play all games on something like xlink ,mybe the qa thing or something else will allow us to get online content and unlock it,then have a homebrew psn, that has all their content that has been downloaded and unlocked and reuploaded to it,and a way for us to play games online,i though i read awhile back that someone was working on something like that,an alternate psn for cfw users, maybe if it were hosted where sony cant legally touch someone ,it could charge a small fee, enough for them to operate the server and to pay for all the content on psn,so they could unlock it and reupload it.also it woulde be nice if in the future consoles didnt have their own online service, it should be an open market where its like when you buy a comuter ,then you get to decide who you want for an online provider, there should be choices, some other companies should come along and start an online gaming service ,then sue sony and others when they try to block them from operating ,they shouldnt be able to make you use their service cause its their console , the market should be opened up and there should be competition,i should have 3 or 4 companies to choose from for my psn or xbl if i want, my console should be able to connect to a 3rd party online gaming service and there should be multiple companies running and hosting these online services so there is some competition to drive prices down,i think that if another company wanted to provide an online psn pr xbl style online gaming service for owners of ps3 or 360 owners, that they would have a verry good argument and case against sony or M$ to say they are monopolizing onlne gaming services,if the analogy to pc's and isp was made they may just have a shot, the only question is,is it a profitable enough busniess model for other companies to want to do it
