Hi I have a ps3 that runs old games ps1 and ps2 should i keep cfw 3.55 or convert to dex 3.55 i stopped using my tb dongle because of no more eboot fixes..

If you want to play anything newer than 3.6, dex is the way to go.

After I have extracted a 3.60 update and decrypted and re encrypted the eboot and changed the paramsfo I am having trouble making the folder back in to a package.

well, it booted, but then sent me back to xmb which is a little further than i got. maybe because it is compressed? well, i'm assuming it is cause you gave me like the same size pkg as my recently compressed eboot from ps3tools.

oakhead69 I followed your instructions to resign the BCES00569 1.12 update eboot. But I'm having no luck.

It boots me back to xmb with error: 0x8001003C

I think I know what this error is. Because I can get past it. Its to do with the SDK version in the EBOOT being too high.

In the decrypted eboot.bin (ELF) You have to replace values: "13 BC C5 F6 00 33 00 00 00 36 00 01" with "13 BC C5 F6 00 33 00 00 00 35 00 01"

I resigned the EBOOT.BIN again. It boots up this time but I only get a endless GT logo loading screen. Just wondering if you missed any steps out? Because I can't seem to get anywhere using the instructions you provided.

I've deleted game data and re installed updates 1.05-1.13 but still no luck. I've created my own 1.13 package with eboot to install it aswell.

Any help with be appreciated.

What was the error code?
What firmware are you on?
Did you install all the updates in order first?

then the fix.

I am on 3.55 kmeaw. I went through sony's update process by just booting the game and letting it update.

I can not test it I do not have the game, I have the EU version I will do an EU fix, Not sure I will get access to the TV to try it with the Olympics on :-(.

So it booted to the move screen, strange there are no selfs as far as I know.

Did you have the previous EBOOT.BIN fix for the 1.00 version and was that working for?

If I do another version uncompressed, do you want to try that?

EDIT:

So you let the game update itself.
It then obviously exited with error code 8001003C.
You used the package installer to install my fix.
Relaunched the game and it got to the move screen then exited. With a code?

Just seen your post on the other thread, I have not had this issue as my firmware is spoofed. I just checked I did fix the PARAM.SFO in the pkg file to 3.41 so I do not know.
