Article: PS Vita News - Shock Prices Due to Performance & Security –
Big surprise here
I'm interested to see the read and write speed of these memory cards, and how they perform compared to other memory cards.
"The other reason is security and we all know what that means."
That it will be harder to hack?
TBH, Im not to concerned, the unit itself is reasonablbly priced and theyve got to make money somehow. These systems wil be sold at a loss, with expecations of software sales and things like memory cards being bougfht to make profit. Its all about the games for me, this certainly isnt a deal breaker, not only the games but what ever else this little thing can do.I loved the PSP, mainly for mame, which didnt help the devs, make me want one Sony.
Well, i nvr planned on buying 1! I don't knw who is going to wit those prices just for memory.
@endoe What doesn't go down with me is that the 32GB memory card is almost half the price of the Vita. I find that considering what each item can do,it's functionality, how does one justify the price gap.
Sony wants the end user to foot the bill for making the system harder to hack. Since this is Sony it's totally expected.
Would it kill you to type out the whole word? You saved 6 letters by making it harder to read for the world.

It means you won't be able to plug it in to a computer and access it directly. You will need special software to transfer data to it. Which by the way, is windows only.
