The memorycard prices are probably one reason why the PS Vita was priced as it was. Otherwise we would probably look at a higher priced Vita itself.

I just wanted to mention that this is just for UMD games, not games bought through the PS Store But it is a common situation however. If i buy a retail game, then i have never gotten nor expected to get the digital download version as well for free. Transfering the games from UMD yourself wouldnt be to be expected either in my opinion because there is no DRM that can determain if one UMD have been copied before (it could then easily lead to people sharing the same UMD to transfer to multiply PS Vitas).

ya its shocking alright...shocking on how expensive it is!...that is outrageous. It should be over a 130 dollars cheaper...not over 200. For this price you can get a 360(used) and a 3DS and still have money left over. This is madness..Not to mention it should be less because it's technically a mobile Ps3. It has identical graphics to the ps3. Hense it should be like 50 dollars at the most...it's like having an add on to the ps3 basically...but they are looking at it like a "new" system when it's not at all.

Holy shit, you're retarded. You do understand that Sony does not make video game consoles for your benefit, right? They do it make a profit. Not so they can sell them for a third of what it costs them to make them. Sony is a business, not a charity.

Actually they apparently can do just that. Reports have said you will only be able to register each umd once.
