my bad, if your ps3 is working, you can access the nands cause they are being power by the console

i do maintain, that you will probably need one for other devices...im sure i'd prefer to access the data without and ECU being "fully" powered on, specially if i was changing anything.
but i stand corrected
This is useful if you need to downgrade, but otherwise useless for the average user.
Also downgrading may cause conflicts meaning you will likely lose things like game backups and such. A newer blue ray drive firmware may have problems if you revert to an older firmware.
My point is don't expect it to be an easy way to jump between cfw and ofw often.
This, as of now, is just a downgrade modchip for ps3 systems with ofw > 3.55 unless someone demonstrates otherwise.
well, I tested without a hdd connected, might be the reason why it's powered...

I hope nothing ever happens to it as the drive emulation only kind of sucks as you're still reliant on softmods for homebrew. Don't get me wrong I'm not compare the PS3 to the Wii. Just saying, softmods sucks in my experience. Speaking of Wiikey, does any know if I can keep my Wiikey in AND install a drive emu chip? I'd like to have both so I can start piling my ISOs onto a HDD. If not then oh well, I aint giving up my wiikey for nothin! AR WTMFW!
What happened with this?. More than three days has passed by now.
