great now wouldnt it be nice if someone made either a clip on infectus version, or a kit that is just a clip for the chip/s that you need to solder to for infectus and like a bunch of couple inch long wires coming off of it for each pin of the ic ,then all you would have to do is clip on the clip and tie the clip wires to the infectus ones, they have them for wii so why not this?
also could this maybe lead to a software based dg,or a new exploit?3.6x keys maybe?the people who did this should now try maths instructions for grabing the 3.6x keys,or anyone with a setup like this, since they would have nothing to loose

ive got 2 fats now. thats good to know if for some reason i wanna get curious i can upgrade then go back down. i solder shit alot for my job and that is def not easy. not impossible just not easy thats all. i would need a slimmer gun for somethin that small. i dont personally care if i ever get online really, just want 3.6keys!!!
Having said that, this needs real soldering skills- it would keep away from people like me who are noobs to soldering stuffs. More over if the same is implemented on slim consoles, it would not be the most welcomed hack method because it naturally voids the warranty. But still, Hail . hats off to the person who did it.. But still we need something like the downgrade dongle before or like kmeaw cfw.. The scene is experiencing a drift now .
I, personally, would use lead solder, not lead-free, no sense in taking chances, even though the read/write process shouldn't take long to melt solder, but the system gets hot itself if you leave the infectus in there (which you should). And like aneesh said, this will take a lot of soldering skills. 32 wires to solder on a board that's not even 3 inches and 15 wires per NAND and each pin is about the size of an 0603 smd LED's width.

ps3hax.net mad.
Yet they have a reason to be. Ever since the new managment at psx-scene we have been going through more unoriginal and plagiarized articles.
has anyone had a wii mod chip that is one of the clip on chip kind?
i never saw one up close but im sure that if they can make one for a wii drive chip then they can make one for a ps3 nand/nor chip ,maybe now that there is more of a practical use one of the modchip makers may make one
,i wonder where they get the actual clip part of the wii modchip kit ? do you think they make it themselves, or contract it out ?
and it is proprietary?
or is there someplace you can buy different size clips for smt ic chips?
like in bulk or from some electronic supply house ,
then you would only really need to solder the last 2 wires to that 2 pin/lead smt component, diode, cap, resistor or whatever it is ,thats not that hard but the ic pins would be a b1tch,plus how would you even use a heatsink on those pins, they used to teach us in electronics class that if you leave the iron on the leads or pins of certain components like transistors ,that the heat can damage the component so they used to tell us to use a heat sink ,not with resistors or capacitors but with ic and transistors

This is getting ****ing annoying. You wanna complain, do it by PM. The rest of us don't have to get here and listen to your gibberish.
I have a friend that is begging me to do this for him on his phat ps3. I am just waiting for more people to actually confirm this method is working. But I definitely would like to get an easier method. Though I am good at soldering, it looks a bit tedious.
@NuclearAqua, I agree with you, but don't worry my friend. I am sure things are going to change quickly within this topic in a few minutes.
