well a new update was released earlier to 2.6 so i would imagine there will be a few new patches released very soon or 1 would hope anyway
Well
@DemonChild
are you sure you want to make a front paged topic about TB we all know that leads to bashing and flames about how TB is bad and blah blah blah
anyways on topic
TB is doing fine. Security updates which is why there havent been any eboots. There are too many games to be played to worried about newer games.
TOO MANY
A lot of people could say that the clones are what is bad, and always have been. And that the clones are the ones that should be seeking redemption, not the originators.

i think it was ok for the PSP scene to implement those security meassures, because all their firmware releases were FREE. They only wanted to be properly credited andnot have someone steal their job, that is all.
For true blue, i dont think its ok for them to do this, as they are charging and they only care about making money. I bought a TrueBlue, i was desperate for playing newer games, but i sure hope as hell somebody can find a way to make open source TB or we have a new CFW so that everybody can enjoy this. If i were still a student, like 3 years agou, i would have never been able to buy it, and i could only rely on free workarounds for newer games![]()
Is this article is seriously gonna be front paged? You have got to be kidding me. Obviously who wrote it most be a True Blue fan, trying to defend dongles. Listen, first of all, you can't compare the 2 situations for the following reason: True Blue are making money off of us, in my opinion in a dishonest way.
I'm pretty sure Dark_Alex worked hard to give us a free CFW on our PSPs and to have this PS3news site say it's their work is totally disrespectful.
They defended these acts by making sure PS3news wouldn't be able to modify the CFW and claim they were the ones to have worked on it.
Here, things are different.
True Blue are making money off of us in the first place. For True Blue to threaten their competition's customers (JB-King users) of erasing their PS3's HDD because they're not using their product is them trying to monopolize the dongle business so they can have the most profit; that's just dishonest.
That's like McDonald's telling Burger King customers they're gonna burn down their houses if they eat at their place and not McDonald's. Dishonest competition.
Free or not implementing security measures to combat what the creators/authors of programs and devices is common practice and I personally support it. However, there is a difference when Mr. Serafin (PS2NFO now known as PS3NEWS - they've changed their name 3 times now due to being "kicked in the ass by the scene") was editing the M33 firmware text to credit PS2NFO and combating a clone. Now, to my knowledge, no one has reported that their cloned JB has wiped their HDD so I'm more inclined to believe it was more of a PR/Scare Tactic then anything. A simple Red Screen with the words "CLONES DON'T WORK" would of sufficed. So say even if running on a JB KING does indeed format your HDD you can recover wheras the M33 bricking you couldn't.
Also, it was more then a couple of people who bricked their PSP's due to Mr. Serafin HEX editing the text in the eboot - it was more like a few hundred. Editing homebrew and exploits by PS3NEWS back then was common practice just as now you will notice they do not like to the source of any article unless it's a major news site when they post their bullshit non-scene news. I myself was responsible for throwing the wolves at PS2NFO with the help of Math and DA. Those were some good times.
Wiping a HDD maybe extreme, but you must remember you're dealing with an illegal device backed up by one of the oldest warez release groups. Did you expect them to bake you cookies?
Really??
It's more Like Burger King making a burger exactly like the Big Mac and selling it for half the price under a different name. Did Burger King do that? No they didn't! They made a burger called to Whopper to compete with McDonalds Big Mac, which created competition which drove prices down for the consumer. Why does today's generation insist on tearing down the successful individuals and companies? Insanity!
Kids these days. I tell ya.
