Too bad EgoHotz got a rash from the sony crabs, this type of stuff could have been available almost a year ago and so many people could have been able to more easily fix the wanky bricks.
Yeah this is old news well kind of randomusername, myself and others have been talking about this all day. The per_console_root_key_0 hasn't been completely figured out nor has full EID decrytion as its decrypted in several ways and layers.
Regardless it's the most progress we've seen in months. Although im sure this has been figured out for months just not shared.
This is your per-console EID key, NOT the per-console root key. This is also not new, most of this article was written in august but public knowledge well before then.
The same despite all indications that the track in the root key 1 is the way to get the root key 0, I figure they did this to avoid legal problems and that another of the final blow, since the procedure is a ladder and seguramnete as you say and the root key 0 must have it in a while.
You are correct, the methods for dumping this were not previously public information, my mistake. It has been well known for a long time where the EID root key resides and that you could dump it using an isolated loader.
Although it is certainly usefull, The article overstates its purpose as this is not the per console root key.
They are perfect instructions on how to obtain the keys. FiniteElement gave us all the information we need. Problem is no one is smart enough or motivated enough to put it together. I'm going put up or shut up myself by the end of this weekend. Not saying I have the technical skills to do it, but I am going to do the best I can.
