cool isnt lua heavily used in psp coding?
would be cool to maybe make better animations on multiman or sothing like that...
A couple questions I have.
1. How does this vary from the last LUA homebrew loader app we had?
2. Is there existing games/demos that can be ported to this?
python would be interesting also to run games like Frets on Fire
Haha now we can play world of warcraft on our ps3????
short answer.. no..
these are just "scripting" files.. nothing to do with a PS3 "OS" running pc games.
like garrys mod.. 89 percent of the files are in fact lua. but the main core is files like vtf.
and what have you.. world of warcraft doesnt just run on lua. it runs on like 40 others as well
and im pretty sure you would have to boot WoW from linux. still not possible
i wish.. not even going to lie lmao
Why would someone want to waste their time with World of Warcraft on their PS3 anyway? But yeah, the more scripts we can run on our PS3s the marrier. It is getting closer to actually "It only does everything"... Just a shame it actually doesn't like it was claimed though lol.
This will basically allow developers an easy script language to create apps. This way even the less talented people can create little neat apps for the PS3.
